About Kam

You Discovering Our Success

KAM has been working hard for clients for many years and we are proud to list some of our work in this section as well as other background information to the company.


KAM was established by Kay and Andrew Adkins in 1998 and it has moved from being a Sole Trader through to a Partnership and now into a Limited Company. It has recently moved into a new Office Complex which provides both the Company and its Clients with a range of state of the art facilities including conference and meeting rooms.


KAM and its Staff are members of the following organisations:

KAM carries all the relevant insurance including Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity.

  • Development of the Volunteer Strategy for London 2012
  • Study on potential Commonwealth Games bid for Glasgow 2014 – Volunteer Programmes and Social Legacy
  • Department for Culture Media and Sport Volunteer Project Step into Sport – Working with 3 National Governing Bodies of Sport to write Volunteer Strategies
  • Development of a Volunteer Programme for Newham Borough Council as part of the London 2012 Olympic Pre Bid Work
  • Advice/ Presentations given to Pan Am 2005 (Rio), Cup of African Nations (Ghana), 2006 Asian Games (Doha).
  • Social Legacy and Volunteer Programme for Euro 2005
  • National Research Project with the Football Association on the Charter Standard Programme for Schools
  • Coordination of a Workplace Health Project for the Department of Health
  • Project Managing a successful Specialist Sports College applications for Tibshelf School and Aireville School
  • Sports Development Work for Manor Sports College including support on Specialist Sports College issues, including supporting a re-designation bid.
  • Pre Lottery Application Advice for Sport England (East Midlands)
  • Development of the National Sports Development Foundation Workshop
  • National Trainers for Sports Development Officer Induction Training (Sport England and National Association for Sports Development
  • Support work, including organising the Exhibition Stand at 2 National Conferences, for the National Association for Sports Development
  • Feasibility Studies/ Business Plan development for a number of Social Enterprises including Honeywood Gardens (a Community Centre), Radcliffe Olympic Football Club, Nivana Football Club, Arnold Town FC, Debdale Sport & Recreation Club etc
  • Strategy Development and writing
  • Research Project on Rural Issues of Sport in Preparation for Active Sport in Lincolnshire
  • Research Project for Meden Valley on Sports, Club & Facility Provision
  • Research on the TOPs Programme in Derbyshire
  • Research on both Derbyshire and Lincolnshire Youth Games
  • Preparation of various strategies including Sport Specific Plans for Active Sport
  • Preparation of Marketing Strategies for a number of clients
  • Training – for Running Sport and Sports Coach UK.
  • Support for groups in Deprived Areas to access Awards for All Grant Aid

The company has been involved in supporting clients in accessing Funding totalling millions.

  • Bletchley Leisure Centre Relocation – Swimming Pool/ Aquatics Centre, 8 Court Indoor Hall, Indoor Bowls Hall, Fitness Facilities, Theatre etc
  • Arnold Football Clubs – New Stadium, Pitches, Changing etc.
  • Peepul Centre – A £14 million multi disciplinary centre
  • Manor Sports and Recreation Centre – New Sports Centre including a 4 court badminton hall, a small hall, floodlit courts and a fitness suite.
  • Dayncourt Specialist Sports College – New Sports Centre, including Full Size Synthetic Pitch and Small Hall
  • High Ridge Specialist Sports College – Changing Rooms, Football Pitches, Synthetic Pitch
  • South Craven School – Sports Technology Centre
  • Eastwood Sports Centre – Sports Hall and Multi Use Games area
  • Magnus Sports Centre – Sports Hall, Full Size ATP
  • Fernwood School – Full Size ATP and pitch drainage
  • Timperley Sports Club – Club House
  • Knaresborough Football Partnership – Multi Site Development
  • The Dukeries Community College – Full Size ATP & Tennis Courts
  • Market Bosworth Tennis Club – 6 Courts and Pavilion.
  • Tibshelf School - Floodlit Football ATP and Pitch Drainage
